One of the questions that I am often asked is what the best affilate marketing tool is. This is a difficult question. However, in my opinion the key to affiliate marketing is keywords. If your into PPC marketing then the goal is to find high converting keywords that you can bid on for a reasonable return. If you’re into free organic traffic the goal of course is to focus on keywords where there’s not too much competition to ensure that you’re site doesn’t get lost in amoungst the gazillions of other sites on the net. If you get it wrong then your affiliate marketing endeavours are going to fail as nobody will find your site and you are not going to make money online.
OK, so based on the above you won’t be surprised to hear that I am going to recommend a keyword tool. And based on my own experiences the best is MicroNicheFinder (CLICK HERE). It is a truly awesome tool which reduces the time spent doing keyword research from hours or days to minutes. Seriously! It’s difficult to explain how it works. However, basically you enter a keyword and the tool will return a range of possible options and return key information including how many searches are completed, how many competing sites there are for the keyword, how likely the keyword is to result in a sale and, most importantly of all, a traffic light system indicating your changes of ranking well on Google (based on the quality of SEO of other competing sites). The system even automatically suggests affiliate products that you can promote to based on your keyword of interest. And heaps of other fantastic stuff. It avoids days or weeks of wasted time and effort focussing on the wrong keywords. It therefore pays for itself many times over (and it’s pretty cheap anyway!)

There is so much b*llshit in the IM world. Most of the products launched are just the same crap packaged a different way. It’s good to get some proper reviews of products.

Thanks for your comment and for your kind words. I buy a lot of internet marketing products and the Warrior Forum is normally a great place to go a balanced and constructive review on which to base your decision as to whether to buy or not. It does annoy me when posts are clearly promotional and hijacked by “Warriors” with links to products in their signature. You can of course not trust anything that they say! Especially when they are promoting a product that’s not yet available which they haven’t yet seen or used themselves! I think that one of the greatest attributes of a successful internet marketer is curiosity and it’s great to hear from another like-minded person that doesn’t accept everything based on face value.

Thanks for the info on Micro Niche Finder! I’ve been looking at that one and Market Samurai, which is also highly touted on WF. Have you had any experience with the latter?

Have used MS mainly for Keyword research for PPC campaigns but my free trial has expired and I haven’t purchased it. One advantage of MS over Micronichefinder for SEO keyword competition analysis is that it takes page rank of competing sites into consideration. For this reason Market Samurai is marginally better but it’s a lot more expensive and you can check PR of competing sites very easily manually.
I’m more than happy with Micronichefinder - I use it daily!
